How to Raise a Husky Puppy | Day 4

Let’s talk scheduling! In the first few weeks of Atari living with us, Jordan and I weren’t sleeping, able to eat without a puppy trying to get some food, or able to clean, cook or take care of ourselves. All self care we had before no longer existed.

That’s when we decided to form a schedule. Much like a new baby, there needed to be structure, a time for everything. We took a whiteboard and separated it into the hours in the day between feedings, naps and exercise.

Atari ate three times a day, with snacks in between. He had three naps a day and we went on walks after each nap. Sticking to this schedule allowed Atari to sleep through the night and helped eliminate any potty accidents in the day.

It felt really good to get organized and have Atari on a schedule. Download a sample schedule here for your puppy.
