The design aesthetic of Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY is largely contributed to Margie Samuels, wife of Bill Samuels, who pioneered Maker’s Mark in Kentucky.

To her, every detail and color mattered, which is why their red wax dripped bottles are so iconic today. The distillery maintains the same color scheme of brown—representing the bourbon— white and red.

During the holidays, Maker’s Mark transforms into a winter wonderland. Lights, bows and wreaths decorate each building, in addition the existing property.

For those not visiting during the holidays, Maker’s Mark has art throughout the distillery. From a ceiling art piece, titled “The Spirit of the Maker, established in 2014, from artist Dale Chihuly. He has seven total large scale installations on the distillery grounds.
