How to Raise a Husky Puppy | Day 2
Atari is our first high energy dog. We knew that we were going to need items to match his needs. Here are some times that we successful in his training and adolescence.
Bedding:
This dog bed has a base of cooling memory foam is perfect for large dogs. The foam and side cushions can be taken out by unzipping and the fabric is machine washable. This is perfect for potty training. Toby and Ace also gifted us with a one of kind monogrammed seat belt leash that we love!
We grabbed a traditional wire crate with a puppy divider from the pet store. When he stops growing, we hope to convert to something more easily portable.
Feeding:
Always get the puppy food from the breeder. We didn’t and Atari had a lot of gastrointestinal issues. He’s now eating Hills Science Z/D, but it took time to find a food that worked with his sensitive stomach.
Some amazing training treats are:
Outward Hound Slow Feeder Slow Bowl
This bowl has definitely helped Atari pace his eating.
Playing:
Atari loves to play, but sometimes he plays rough with his toys. He loves tearing them apart, so we have to watch him while he plays. We’ve found some more durable toys that he can’t resist.
Grooming:
Huskies shed a lot. This is the only brush that has worked for us.
