making Matcha
When I want to cut out caffeine, but still have a little extra energy for the day, I turn to matcha. Matcha is ground green tea, so it has the same benefits (rich in antioxidants, counteracting stress), but packed in a concentrated amount. I’ve always loved the taste of matcha in ice cream, desserts and drinks, but now that I can make this on my own, it’s a great way to start my day. This drink can be served over ice as well.
Ingredients and Items
Matcha Powder. Here’s a few we use: PureChimp (I love the reusable glass jar) and Aiya.
Matcha Spoon. Use 6 spoon fulls per drink.
Agave Syrup. Agave is very soluble and does not leave a taste, just sweet. It’s perfect adding a touch of sweetness to a warm drink.
For flavored Matcha, David’s Tea has a lot of favorites. Their honeydew and strawberry matcha are delicious.
